Your role
You'll be part of our Catering team based in Melbourne, working closely with the Front of House Team. Our friendly, supportive, and collaborative team is part of the broader Business Operations Department, which includes Concierge, Records Management, and Facilities Management.
Our Corporate Catering team prepares a variety of innovative, on-trend food items to enhance our clients' experiences. We accommodate various events, from formal breakfasts, lunches, and dinners to canapés for cocktail events and seminars.
As a Boardroom Waiter, your responsibilities include:
* Managing staff dinners and evening events.
* Providing professional, high-end corporate wait service for boardroom bookings and events.
* Delivering exceptional customer service to clients and Allens employees.
* Ensuring dining areas, boardrooms, and kitchens are professionally presented and cleaned.
* Assisting with dishes after staff dinners and events.
* Organising and delivering catering for internal and external functions.
* Promptly clearing and refreshing dining areas post-events.
* Maintaining a clean workspace, including cleaning coffee machines, stocking dishes, and ensuring service items are undamaged and suitable.
* Monitoring stock levels of consumables and service items.
* Training new staff as needed.
* Performing basic administrative tasks to support the team.
This is a permanent, full-time role with working hours from 12pm to 9pm, Monday to Thursday, and 11am to 5pm on Fridays, with some flexibility.
About You
* You can work well under pressure in a busy environment.
* You have experience providing excellent service as part of a team.
* A current Responsible Service of Alcohol certification is beneficial.
* Previous barista experience and knowledge of local and international food and wine are highly desired.
* You have a desire to learn, grow, network, and mentor others.
