We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across our Villages. This includes installing, repairing and maintaining underground, storm, sanitary and water piping systems, as well as scheduling maintenance on plumbing systems and fixtures.
A key aspect of this role is the installation, repair and maintenance of sinks, tubs, and toilets in line with all building codes, installation requirements, and relevant legislation.
The chosen candidate will also liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers carrying out works under warranties and other guarantees.
Excellent communication skills are essential for delivering exceptional maintenance services to our guests in a timely manner, with minimal disruption to their living and working environment.
In addition, the selected candidate will participate in an out-of-hours response system to support Villages 24/7, 365 days per year.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services/QBCC licensed Plumber/Drainer/Gas Fitter
* Confined Space Ticket (desirable)
* Experience with solar & heat pump hot water systems, thermostatic mixing valves, and backflow prevention
* Experience with commercial gas cooking appliance maintenance and repairs
* Proficiency in using IT systems for reporting and responding to maintenance issues, diagnosing faults, and closing maintenance issues
* At least 5 years' experience in similar work, preferably in the service or hospitality industry over multiple sites
