Purpose of the Role:
The Finance Analyst supports key performance delivery and execution across the Claims & Assessing (C&A) Division, while contributing to the broader Corporate Finance objective of driving profitable growth across A&G.
Position Accountabilities:
The Finance Analyst – Claims & Assessing operates within the Corporate Finance team and works closely with the C&A Division leadership.
* Provide financial support and recommendations on commercial constructs, business cases and financial models for new divisional initiatives
* Deliver financial and managerial reporting, including monthly management, operational and Board reporting
* Provide input into business packs and materials to support business cases
* Identify performance opportunities through analysis and interpretation, providing clear insights to the C&A Director and leadership team
* Analyse daily, weekly and monthly results, as well as ad hoc reporting requests, to support performance outcomes
* Support planning and reforecasting processes for the C&A Division with appropriate rigour and challenge
* Identify and implement process improvements across reporting and team operating rhythms
* Develop and maintain financial models to support new and ongoing initiatives, with a focus on commercial insight and efficiency
* Assess financial implications and risks of performance, projects and initiatives, and translate these into operational outcomes for stakeholders
* Liaise with stakeholders across Support teams, Corporate Finance, Group Finance, Data Analytics & Insights and the wider business
Qualifications and Experience:
* Formal qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or CA/CPA (or working towards)
* Minimum three years’ experience in a finance role within a comparable organisation
* High level of self-awareness and personal effectiveness
* Experience with TM1, Power BI or similar analytics tools (preferred)
* Experience in Banking, Finance & Insurance and/or Technology, with an understanding of relevant regulatory, commercial and operational trends (preferred)
