We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for our Weipa project.
The Civil Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site civil construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to specified quality standards. The role provides strong leadership to site supervisors, subcontractors, and crews, while maintaining compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily site operations for civil works including earthworks, roads, drainage, pavements, structures, and associated infrastructure.
Monitor progress against schedule, identifying and addressing delays or risks.
Coordinate subcontractors, plant, and resources to maximise productivity and efficiency.
Ensure works comply with project drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture across all site activities.
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental regulations, and company systems.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Assist with construction planning, sequencing, and methodology.
Monitor cost control, productivity, and resource utilisation.
Ensure accurate site records, daily diaries, and progress reports are maintained.
Support contractual compliance including variations, claims, and site instructions.
Experience & Skills
Proven experience in a Superintendent or Senior Civil Leadership role within the mining industry.
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a Superintendent or Senior Civil Leadership role.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies, equipment, and standards.
Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex construction projects.
Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
High level of safety awareness and commitment to compliance.
Commercial acumen and ability to manage costs and resources.
Requirements
Current Manual Driver's Licence (no restrictions)
G189 & G2 Supervision Certificate
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol testing
Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
