Service Hours
The service operates Monday to Thursday 5 pm to 9 am and Friday 4 pm to Monday 9 am, including public holidays.
Availability within these hours is required; full coverage is not mandatory.

Onsite positions in Ipswich & Logan, Rockhampton, Cairns, Townsville (may include travel for outreach)
Remuneration
$***** per hour (including casual loading)
Superannuation and NFP Salary Packaging available

Programme Overview
The Victims of Crime Community Recovery (VOCCR) program offers short-term, trauma-informed support in the critical days following a violent crime, operating 24/7 across Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Logan and Ipswich.
Responsibilities
Provide intake, assessment, and immediate practical support to victims, families and witnesses.
Engage clients via phone and face-to-face, ensuring timely intervention and coordinated support.
Collaborate with other agencies, manage referrals and case documentation.
Address urgent client needs, facilitate recovery pathways, and maintain trauma-informed practice.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science or equivalent, plus minimum 5 years relevant experience.
Demonstrated trauma-informed practice and crisis response skills.
Effective communication, listening and advocacy skills with diverse populations.
Ability to manage change, challenging situations and provide solutions.
Resilience to work in environments involving vicarious trauma.
Commitment to victim-led recovery models.
Current driver's licence and Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
