Urban Planning Lecturer
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced city planner to join our team as a lecturer.
The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in city planning or a closely related field, including a PhD or equivalent, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and research.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching courses within the Urban Planning program, with a focus on developing and implementing innovative teaching methods.
* Designing and developing learning activities and resources, and assessment tasks using a range of appropriate approaches and learning environments.
* Supporting student learning progression, both as individuals and as a cohort, to achieve positive learning and high employability outcomes.
* Managing course administration, including academic quality assurance.
Requirements:
* Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship.
* Qualifications in city planning or a closely related field, including a PhD or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience in and passion for the delivery of high-quality urban planning curriculum and program material.
* A commitment to teaching and demonstrated ability and experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching methods.
* Evidence of and/or preparedness to undertake professional development of teaching practice.
* Proven capacity to work effectively and sensitively with students, particularly on issues related to learning in individual and group situations and cross-cultural factors in the student experience.
* Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with disciplinary knowledge and developments in urban planning.
* Demonstrated ability to undertake independent academic research in the field of urban planning with limited supervision.
