Health Safety Specialist Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced health and safety professional to join our team in Victoria. This critical role is responsible for developing the site improvement plan and partnering with hospital executives, managers, and supervisors to deliver the plan.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop capability and enhance safety accountability among managers, supervisors, and committee members through coaching and influencing.
2. Promote health and safety practices through active leadership and engagement.
3. Drive safe systems of work, conduct quality incident investigations, and provide visible leadership.
4. Consult with managers, supervisors, contractors, and third parties on operational safety issues.
5. Participate in risk management activities, including facilitating risk assessments and leading loss-time injury investigations.
6. Conduct performance monitoring activities, such as preparing site reports and developing gap closure plans.
