About the role
As NAC continues to grow, we are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Reliability and Projects Engineer, on a permanent, full-time basis.
Working a 5/2 roster and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Reliability and Projects Engineer will lead and deliver mechanical reliability programs and specific small scale engineering projects on site.
What you will do
Monitor and report equipment performance; establish equipment performance metrics / KPI's such as availability, MTBF, MTTR.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement defect elimination solutions and strategies.
Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to optimise asset performance.
Lead maintenance-specific small engineering projects, from concept through to commissioning.
Define or update maintenance strategies and the supporting tactics to improve work management or reliability outcomes.
Use data analytics to measure performance and improve reliability.
To be considered for these opportunities you will bring
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related engineering discipline) preferred; and / or
Experience in mechanical reliability engineering with Open Cut mining heavy mobile equipment
Strong skills in root cause analysis, failure modes and effects analysis
Experience with predictive / condition monitoring tools (vibration, thermography, oil analysis etc.)
Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement and contractor management
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
To be successful in this role
Proven experience in maintenance reliability engineering
A strong safety mindset with ability to actively identify and report hazards/incidents
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
Enthusiasm to positively contribute to site culture
High attention to detail and precision in executing tasks
Ability to work well as a team and independently
Ability to undergo and pass a coal board medical
The ability to contribute to and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
