If so, you might be the person we are looking for to perform the role of Assistant Director Risk Management within the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Regulatory Design (NPSRD) team.
The EL 1 Assistant Director Risk Management is responsible for developing and delivering various risk management functions, including implementing and maintaining the Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator (ANNPSR) risk framework and risk register.
You will be the custodian of the ANNPSR’s risk framework and governance, providing advice to support the Executive in understanding the organisation’s risk management capabilities.
You will oversee risk management systems and promote an open, proactive approach that fosters collaboration, encourages debate, and values independent views.
With excellent consultation skills, you will engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, exercising sound judgment, influencing decisions, and setting priorities to meet deadlines. As a problem solver, you will contribute to developing operational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Your curious mindset, combined with an engaging, supportive, and collaborative attitude, will enhance the organisation's risk culture.
To be considered for this position, you will have proven knowledge and experience in risk management functions and practices.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates may be required to undergo additional screening or assessments.
This position has been advertised through the Department of Defence but will transition to a new Statutory Agency, with the effective date to be confirmed.
