About the Role
The Events Officer will play a key role in shaping internal and external events for Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton.
Key Responsibilities
* Event Planning & Delivery: Coordinate and manage community events, including stakeholder functions and employee forums across operational locations.
* Internal & Employee Events: Plan and support delivery of internal events to foster a positive culture within the organization.
* Sponsorship & Promotion: Develop sponsorship strategies and promotional activities to ensure events are well-supported and recognized.
* Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and partners to ensure seamless event execution.
* Event Evaluation: Gather feedback, analyze event performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
About You
* Experience & Skills: Proven experience in event management, with strong organizational skills and sponsorship management desirable.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to negotiate and build relationships.
* Technical Proficiency: High-level PC skills, including expertise in MS Office suite and event registration platforms.
* Leadership & Teamwork: Natural leader with team-oriented mindset, demonstrating respect, collaboration, and accountability.
Qualifications
* A tertiary qualification in Event Management or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
* Mandatory C class driver's license.
