About the Role:
We are seeking a full-time Heavy Diesel Fitter with Leading Hand experience to join our high-performing Maintenance Team at Goonyella. Our fleet at Goonyella comprises a combination of ultra-class mining equipment including:
* CAT 793 trucks
* CAT 18M & 24M graders
* Liebherr R9800 excavators
Key responsibilities include:
* Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to a team of Diesel Fitters and maintenance personnel
* Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi and Liebherr mining equipment
* Carry out preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on heavy mining equipment when required
* Foster a positive, team-focused culture by mentoring and developing crew members
* Ensure compliance with site safety standards, procedures and reporting requirements
About You:
* Australian recognised Heavy Diesel Fitting trade certificate (or equivalent)
* Proven leading hand/supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and support maintenance crews
* Current G1, G8, G9 (S1, S2, S3) and G2 certificates

Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA's Goonyella Mine is one of Queensland's largest coal mines.
BUMA Australia provide labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.
