We maintain a large, modern fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment, and we're looking for a reliable and Workshop Yard Person to join our growing team.
Your Role:
The Workshop Yard Person is responsible for maintaining the workshop and yard area in a clean, organized, and safe condition. This role supports workshop operations by assisting with the movement of vehicles, machinery, tools, and materials, as well as performing general maintenance and labouring duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain the workshop and yard areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
* Assist mechanics, technicians, or trades staff with workshop duties as required
* Load, unload, and move parts, equipment, and materials using forklifts or other lifting equipment
* Check, store, and issue tools, equipment, and consumables
* Wash and detail vehicles, plant, or machinery before and after repairs or service
* Conduct basic maintenance and housekeeping of workshop tools, equipment, and facilities
* Assist with deliveries, dispatch, and record keeping of goods received or issued
* Adhere to company safety procedures and report hazards or incidents promptly
Requirements:
All candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment medical, and a drug and alcohol screen.
* Current drivers licence
* Be physically fit and capable of manual labour
* Ability to tow trailers
* Knowledge of local area
* Forklift licence - or ability to obtain
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication and organisational skills
