About The Role
The Wardsperson plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of hospital wards by providing essential non-clinical assistance to healthcare professionals and ensuring a safe, clean, and organised environment for patients. This position involves a variety of tasks, including patient transportation, equipment management, mortuary duties and general support duties to enhance patient care and staff efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Assistance and Transportation
* Safely transport patients to and from various departments within the hospital.
* Assist patients with mobility and positioning as needed.
Communication And Collaboration
* Work closely with nursing staff, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
* Respond promptly to requests and instructions from nursing staff and management.
Mortuary Duties
* Assist with transfer of deceased from wards.
* Liaise with funeral homes and other external agencies.
