About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, proven experience in fitting and maintenance, and the ability to work with a small team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment and machinery.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and company policies.
* Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults.
* Liaise with Managers and other department Team Leaders to ensure smooth workflow.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and timeframes.
* Contributing to a positive team environment and mentoring apprentices
Requirements:
* Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
* Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
* Forklift, EWP, and confined space tickets (desirable).
* Sound computer literacy (Outlook, Word)
* Strong time management, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
* Commitment to safety, teamwork, and producing high-quality work
* Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical (incl. drug & alcohol screening)
