The Role
As Training Systems Manager you will be responsible for:
* Performance management on the C-27J aspects of the ASIST contract with CAE Australia with respect to the Flight Training Device, Virtual Maintenance Trainer, aircrew training and Training System Facility management. This includes contract deliverable review, issue management, reporting and liaison with stakeholders including 35SQN, 84WG, ALSPO, ASMU, AMG and other RAAF units;
* Performance management on the C-27J Fuselage Trainer aspects and ground training requirements through Life Support Contract, (TLS) Contract with Northrup Grumman including issue management, repair and maintenance review and approval, reporting and liaison with stakeholders;
* Develop material and participate in C-27J related meetings, working groups and management boards, manage the annual review and update the Memorandum of Understanding regarding Commonwealth occupants of the Training System Facility with ALSPO, Air Force and the Institute of Aviation Medicine, and provide C-27J training input into the DMFP process.
About our Team
The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) is a business unit within the Airlift and Tanker Systems (ATS) branch of the Aerospace Systems Division (ASD) within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). ALSPO is the in-service support agency responsible for sustaining and enhancing the RAAF's C-130J Hercules and C-27J Spartan aircraft.
The C-27J Spartan Asset Management Unit (SAMU) within ALSPO is a highly capable and professional team operating in a dynamic work environment supporting the C-27J Spartan fleet. The SAMU team is located at both RAAF Base Richmond and RAAF Base Amberley.
This position is based at RAAF Amberley, and you will be the on-site liaison on behalf of SAMU. In addition, you will be the key liaison with RAAF, CASG, CAE, the platform Prime Contractor, and other contractors engaged to provide support to the C-27J Training System.
