An exciting opportunity is available for a technically minded sales professional to join a nationally recognised leader within the fluid power sector, working specifically within their specialised Oil & Gas business unit. This division manufactures, engineers, and certifies a range of industrial solutions supplied to major oil & gas operators, contractors, and distributor partners across Australia and international markets. Following the recent acquisition of their API Q1 certification, the business is entering a significant growth phase and is looking to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer to help strengthen their technical capability, customer engagement, and project support functions. The Role This is a client-facing technical role combining engineering support, solution development, and business relationship management. Key responsibilities include: Managing and developing relationships with oil & gas clients, contractors, and distributor partners Providing technical sales support and engineered solution recommendations Supporting product and system design activities using CAD software Assisting with preparation and interpretation of technical drawings and documentation Working closely with internal engineering and production teams to deliver project outcomes Supporting certification, compliance, and technical requirements for customer projects Preparing quotations, proposals, and technical submissions Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the oil & gas sector About You Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or solution-based industrial sales Exposure to the oil & gas industry highly regarded Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret engineering drawings Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage both technical and commercial discussions with clients Mechanical, engineering, or trade-based qualifications highly regarded Experience within fluid power, industrial equipment, engineered products, or related sectors advantageous Exposure to CAD software and design-related work highly desirable What’s on Offer $100K – $110K base salary Superannuation Performance bonus structure Opportunity to join a growing specialist business unit Work with major oil & gas industry clients and projects Strong career growth and technical development opportunities Supportive team and national business backing If you are looking to combine technical capability, client engagement, and engineering solutions within a growing oil & gas-focused business, Apply directly or contact Chris Minehan, 0477 297 722 for a confidential conversation
