Based at the Portland Campus, this full‑time ongoing role provides engaging training to students across Engineering programs, ensuring learning is practical, current and aligned to industry expectations.
The position requires planning and delivering training and assessment that meet regulatory standards, maintaining accurate records, contributing to continuous improvement, and supporting students through their learning journey. The teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain strong industry relationships to ensure course relevance.
As part of SWTAFE's high‑performing education environment, the role contributes to shaping skilled graduates who are job‑ready for in‑demand trades.
What you'll bring:
* Relevant Engineering trade qualification(s) with strong and current industry experience.
* Training and assessment qualification (TAE40116/TAE40122 or equivalent) appropriate for L1–L3 teaching levels.
* Experience delivering vocational training in Engineering or related trades.
* Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, hands‑on training aligned to industry needs.
* Strong understanding of VET sector compliance, assessment standards and curriculum requirements.
* Ability to build and maintain industry partnerships to support training relevance and student pathways.
* High‑quality communication, classroom management and student support skills.
