Senior Technical Officer Transport Management
Salary: $106,975 per annum + 12% super + 4.5% increase 1st July 2026
Working hours: 72.5 hours fortnightly (72.5‐hour fortnight schedule)
Location: Strathpine – hybrid, flexible working environment with some work‐from‐home days.
As a Senior Technical Officer Transport Management, you will provide specialist advice and act as the primary contact within the City of Moreton Bay Council for traffic management plans, over‐size and over‐mass vehicle permits, and for investigating and responding to customer service requests.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist advice and act as the primary contact for traffic management plans and over‐size/over‐mass vehicle permits.
* Co‐ordinate traffic management planning, approvals, and oversight of complex vehicle movements.
* Interpret complex technical reports, manage competing priorities, and negotiate with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver high‐quality assessments within required timeframes.
* Apply legislation, policy frameworks and industry standards to provide high‐level technical advice for safe, efficient and compliant transport outcomes.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, maintain effective communication, and commit to best‐practice transport planning and traffic management design.
Qualifications
* Degree in transport planning, civil engineering, or equivalent qualifications, or significant relevant industry experience.
* Current Open Certificate in Traffic Management Design.
* Strong grasp of legislation, policy frameworks and industry standards.
