About the Role
Katherine Toyota is seeking an experienced, capable and customer-focused Service Advisor / Service Administration professional to join our Service Department.
This position plays an important part in the day-to-day operation of the Katherine Toyota Service Department.
You will be responsible for supporting customers throughout the service and repair process while ensuring workshop bookings, repair orders, administration and communications are completed accurately and professionally.
Depending on your experience, the role may include a combination of customer-facing Service Advisor duties and Service Department administration.
Responsibilities
* Greeting customers and discussing their vehicle servicing or repair requirements
* Preparing accurate repair orders and recording customer concerns
* Scheduling workshop bookings and managing daily appointment requirements
* Keeping customers informed of repair progress, additional work and completion times
* Preparing service estimates and obtaining customer approval before additional work is carried out
* Coordinating with technicians, workshop management and the Parts Department
* Finalising repair orders, invoices and supporting documentation
* Explaining completed work and service recommendations to customers
* Managing telephone, email and face-to-face customer enquiries
* Maintaining accurate customer and vehicle records
* Assisting with warranty, fleet and internal service administration
* Supporting customer follow-up and service retention activities
* Contributing to a professional, organised and efficient Service Department
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, confident and comfortable working in a busy automotive environment.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Administrator, Warranty Administrator or receptionist
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Good organisation and time-management ability
* The confidence to communicate with customers, technicians and management
* Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills
* The ability to manage several priorities at the same time
* A professional and reliable approach to work
* Good computer and general administration skills
* A genuine interest in building a long-term career with Katherine Toyota
* Previous Toyota / Automotive dealership experience will be highly regarded; however, applicants with experience from hospitality, medical or other mechanical workshops, transport businesses, fleet operations or similar customer service environments are encouraged to apply.
* Automotive knowledge is advantageous, but strong administration, communication and customer service skills are equally important.
