About the Role
Stantec has a busy pipeline of Data Centre projects across Australia. We are looking for a Principal/Associate level Electrical Engineer to join our Melbourne Buildings team. This full‐time role focuses on data centre projects from initial master planning, through design and construction, to installation and commissioning. The successful candidate will drive project success in the data‐centre space and develop professionally within our global consultancy.
What You'll Be Doing
* Planning, designing and project‐managing large‐scale Data Centre projects for a range of clients
* Demonstrating Data Centre technical engineering knowledge
* Leading client‐facing project delivery, ensuring high‐quality outcomes and strong stakeholder satisfaction
* Managing internal design teams and overseeing engineering assessments across complex, multi‐client projects
* Representing Stantec in industry forums, client presentations and strategic meetings to enhance our market presence
* Mentoring and supporting junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
* Degree‐qualified in Electrical Engineering
* Experience working in a design consultancy environment
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of delivery
* Strong technical knowledge of Electrical Engineering on Data Centre projects
* A proactive, solutions‐focused mindset with passion for building client relationships and growing business pipelines
* Software experience in Revit or AutoCAD (useful)
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* A collaborative, can‐do attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, team‐oriented environment
