About the Role
As a retail assistant you will be part of a team responsible for running an efficient, profitable, and customer-focused spare parts department while also supporting daily retail operations. You will work closely with both customers and our service department to ensure the right parts are stocked, sourced, and supplied when needed.

Key Responsibilities
Sales, Customer Service & Retail Duties
* Provide exceptional customer service at the counter and over the phone
* Operate the cash register, process transactions, and manage checkout efficiently (training provided)
* Engage with customers, assist with product selection, and maintain appealing store displays
* Address customer enquiries, resolve issues, and provide accurate product information
* Promote and sell caravan parts, accessories, and lifestyle gear
* Set and achieve realistic sales objectives
* Drive sales through proactive marketing and customer engagement
Workshop & Service Department Support
* Liaise closely with the service team to ensure seamless repair order fulfilment
* Research and identify correct parts required for service jobs
* Support technical enquiries and provide accurate product advice
Stock, Merchandising & Inventory Management
* Restock shelves, organise inventory, and maintain a tidy, well-presented sales floor (physical activity involved)
* Stock the right parts mix to meet customer and workshop needs
* Monitor pricing structures and adjust as required
* Review sales promotions, pricing and sales volumes to maximise performance
* Maintain strong stock rotation and ordering processes
* Prevent theft or loss through solid control systems

Skills & Attributes Needed
* Caravan Knowledge :Understanding of caravan components, accessories, and parts
* Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage with customers and communicate clearly
* Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering high service standards
* Willingness to Learn: Training provided across systems, processes, and product ranges
* Attention to Detail: Accurate with stock, sales, pricing and customer orders
* Problem-Solving Ability: Proactive approach to resolving issues
* Physical Capability: Able to restock shelves and move inventory as needed
* Training will be provided on site.
