Reports To: Direct: Technical Innovation Manager OceaniaIndirect or Day-to-Day: Technical Systems and Solutions LeadFTE: Full-TimeLocation: SydneyDirect Reports: NilDrivers Licence: A current and valid driver’s licence is required in order to perform the role.Travel: This role is based in Pro Clima Australia head office in Alexandria Sydney. Travel maybe required across Australia and New Zealand. Pro Clima inspires and educates people to create healthy, durable and energy-efficient buildings to live, learn, work and play in – now and for generations to come. Role Overview and Purpose This role is hands-on ranging from building training rigs, to developing and delivering training programmes, to providingtechnical support to our internal teams, distributors and customers and following through on sales leads. This role works in close collaboration with Technical, Sales, Marketing and Customer Service Teams. Core Competencies• In-depth knowledge of the Australian construction industries.• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts using easy to understand language.• Strong presentation and training skills to both individuals and groups.• High attention to detail, organisation, and multi-tasking skills.• Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.• Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable with a can-do attitude• Experienced in handling and working with tools. Key ResponsibilitiesOperational – Development and Delivery of Training Programme• Support in the development and delivery of practical and technical training, either in person or online, to newand existing customers, distributors, and staff from either our Hub in Sydney or locations around Australia.• Ensure our information and training content is technically accurate.• Collaborate and support:the development of technical and installation literature, documentation, and educational displays.designing, detailing, and building of prototypes for testing and demonstration purposes.rolling-out of new products and system upgrades.• Support the Innovation team in developing new products and construction systems, product innovation for application in Australia.• Support conducting systems compliance testing. Operational – Technical Support and Sales• Provide technical advice and support to customers, distributors, and internal teams via phone, email, and in person.• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.• Document and track customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions.• Escalate complex issues and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.• Support sales teams with technical expertise and consultative selling.• Collaborate with marketing to create engaging, science-based technical content and collateral.• Contribute to the ongoing compliance and relevance of marketing materials.• Be a brand ambassador and always reflect our company values. Relationships• Build strong, positive, effective working relationships with the:pro clima: Innovation Manager Oceania Technical teamAustralian Sales, Technical, Marketing and Customer Service team.New Zealand Pro Clima employees.Distribution partners, customers and industry partners. Environment• Integrate pro clima’s commitment to sustainability and sustainable initiatives, into daily working practices and delivery of service. Health and Safety• Ensure that all Health and Safety policies, procedures and documents are completed and fully always complied with.• Maintain and ensure a clean, healthy and safe environment for our people and our clients/customers.• Take responsibility for own workplace safety including personal well-being. Qualifications and Experience• Vocational education in carpentry, joinery or construction.• 3–5 years’ experience in construction.• Not required, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building/Applied Sciences, or a related field. OR• Practical experience in the construction industry and knowledge of building codes (Australia/NZ) preferred.• Experience in technical training and customer support.• Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp) is preferred.• Certified Passive House Tradesperson (or willingness to obtain).• Strong general computer skills. Expertise• Genuine interest in improving building standards in Australia.• Excellent people skills, verbal and written communication skills.• Reliable, self-motivated with work ethics that reflect honesty and integrity.• Socially confident and comfortable with direct customer contact.• Enthusiasm for innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.• Curious, lifelong learner.• Great sense of humour.
