Chamber NT is seeking a dynamic and community-focused Membership Coordinator to lead member engagement, event coordination, and committee support in Alice Springs and the surrounding region. Key Responsibilities
Membership Engagement
* Provide responsive support via phone, email, and in-person.
* Onboard new members and assist with renewals.
* Connect members with relevant Chamber NT programs, services, and opportunities.
* Maintain accurate member records in the CRM system.
Events & Networking
* Coordinate member participation in local events such as Business at Sunset, Women in Business, workshops, and awards.
* Collaborate with the central Events Team to ensure successful delivery.
* Gather post-event feedback to support continuous improvement.
Governance & Secretariat Support
* Support Regional Executive Committees (Central Australia & Barkly).
* Prepare and distribute agendas, papers, and minutes.
* Track action items and uphold governance standards.
Administrative & Operational Support
* Assist with financial coordination including invoices and reconciliations.
* Provide general support to the Head of Top End and Member Relations Officer.
* Ensure a professional and welcoming environment for visiting members.
What We're Looking For
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Experience in member/client-facing roles, event coordination, and secretariat support.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
* A proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach to work.
Desirable Attributes
* Experience in administration, communications, or business development.
* Familiarity with governance, boards, or not-for-profit organisations.
* NT Driver's Licence and willingness to travel regionally and attend events outside standard hours.
* Strong knowledge of the Northern Territory business environment
