Job Opportunity: Lead Academy PhysiotherapistJoin to apply for the Lead Academy Physiotherapist role at Leeds Rhinos Rugby League Club.Location: Bartercard Training Complex and various locations in the North of England.Salary: Competitive, based on experience.Reporting to: Head PhysiotherapistLeeds Rhinos is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to provide world-class player care and support as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role involves leading diagnosis, treatment, and management of physiotherapy care for Leeds Rhinos Academy and 1st team players.Essential RequirementsKnowledge of rugby league or team sports at an elite level.At least 2 years of experience in a professional sporting environment, including player treatment and management.Practical experience in muscular-skeletal and soft tissue manual therapy techniques.Some knowledge of sports science, programming, and conditioning.Experience in designing and implementing rehabilitation pathways.Excellent communication skills in written and oral formats.Computer literacy.Principal Duties and ActivitiesDeliver services to the highest professional standards in elite sport.Monitor and evaluate players' physical markers to meet medical needs.Lead player clinics, rehabilitation programs, and treatment, providing progress reports.Support medical clinics and rehabilitation at the 1st team level.Maintain accurate medical records and injury databases.Ensure pre-participation paperwork and medicals are completed.Record injuries and participation data according to club and RFL protocols.Attend staff meetings and contribute to training, fitness testing, and medical discussions.Liaise with coaching, sports science, and medical staff.Manage player preparation for training and matches.Participate in staff CPD and specialist referrals as needed.Maintain good relationships with personnel, players, and external organizations.QualificationsDegree or equivalent in sports physiotherapy or sports medicine.Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and HCPC registration.Appropriate sports medical insurance or indemnity.IMMOFP qualification or equivalent (desirable).Application ProcessSend your cover letter and CV with current remuneration to sarah.tate@therhinos.co.uk.
