Production Scheduler

Langs Building Supplies is a proudly family-owned and operated business that has been a trusted supplier of quality building products for over 45 years. From timber and steel trusses and frames to windows, doors, timber and hardware, we cater to a wide range of building companies, offering solutions for every construction need.

An exciting opportunity has just become available for a Production Scheduler to join our agile and supportive team. This is a pivotal role within our company, ideal for a highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for planning, problem-solving, and working collaboratively.

About the Role
Reporting to the Production Scheduling – Supervisor, as our Production Scheduler, you will be part of a team that plays a key role in ensuring our production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain production schedules to meet customer requirements and operational targets

· Enter new orders into the system and coordinate timely processing

· Manage workflow into the manufacturing plant, adjusting schedules as needed

· Confirm delivery timeframes and liaise with relevant departments

· Work closely with the Production Scheduling - Supervisor, internal staff, builders, and detailers to ensure customer demands are met efficiently

· Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays and advise supervisor accordingly

What We’re Looking For:

· Experience: Proven background in production scheduling or a similar planning role

· Organisation: Strong time management, multitasking, and prioritisation skills

· Problem-Solving: A logical thinker with the ability to quickly resolve issues under pressure

· Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written

· Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using or learning production scheduling software

· Adaptability: Flexible and resilient when dealing with changing priorities and deadlines
