Roles and Responsibilities:
* Provide in-home,SIL, and community-based support (e.g. meal prep, domestic duties, personal care, community access,transport).
* Support participants with employment coaching and goal setting based on their NDIS plans.
* Maintain detailed client records and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery
* Have experience in working with people with disabilities, challenging behaviour, and complex physical disabilities.
* Minimum of 6 months experience working with people with disabilities is required.
* Have experience with supporting clients who have Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices.
* Need regular involvement in high manual handling tasks such as transfers, repositioning, and mobility assistance.
* Help develop daily routines and activity schedules that promote independence.
* Administer medications and assist with manual handling where necessary.
* Record accurate shift notes, incident reports, and observations in line with regulatory and organisational standards
Communication and Teamwork
* Have ability to establish great working relationships with a wide range of people, stakeholders and Organisations.
* Demonstrated sound written and oral communication skills to communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation and its participants.
* Demonstrated sound organisational skills including an ability to see tasks through to completion.
Key Requirements
To be considered, you must be meet the following requirements
Must have Australian work rights and authorisation to work in Australia.
* Availability: Flexibility and availability are essential in this role, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, morning, day, afternoon, evening, night, weekend, and sleepover shifts.
* Qualifications:
o Minimum Cert III or relevant qualification in Disability Support, Community Services or a related field desirable.
o NDIS Orientation Module completed
o NDIS Orientation Module must be completed before starting work.
o Valid First Aid and CPR
o Current Driver's Licence (Australian or valid international)
o NDIS Worker Screening Check
o Working With Vulnerable People card
o Good written and verbal communication skills
* Vehicle: Reliable, fully insured personal vehicle.
* Personal Attributes: Empathetic, proactive, physically fit, flexible, tech-savvy, calm in crisis, strong communicator.
