How you'll make a difference
* Ecological impact assessment and offsetting for projects of diverse scales, supporting clients in meeting ecological requirements within multi-disciplinary tenders.
* Work independently or with a team of ecologists in the planning, delivery and management of ecology surveys; analyze results, conduct impact assessments, and design and implement successful mitigation strategies.
* Provide excellent client service through risk‐based strategic advice and high‐quality technical reporting.
* Identify and implement efficiencies and digital solutions to collaborate and work smarter.
* Support the team's strategic growth, technical excellence, and innovation in ecological assessments.
* Assist with project management, including the technical and financial performance of ecological projects.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated technical knowledge of flora, fauna and ecological communities in Queensland (6+ years), with experience in NSW or NT regarded as an advantage.
* Ability to lead project delivery, engage with clients, and mentor a high‐performing team across field and office‐based work.
* Experience in environmental approval processes and impact assessment reporting.
* Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or related field.
* Proficiency with GIS tools such as ESRI ArcGIS Pro is advantageous.
* Willingness to undertake fieldwork across Queensland, with a valid Class C driver's licence and 4WD experience.
