EngageVR is a dynamic, multidisciplinary allied health service specialising in individualised and innovative rehabilitation programs. We provide Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy to support clients under NDIS, Aged Care, DVA, EPC, Lifetime Care, and SIRA schemes. Our goal is to enhance the rehabilitation experience through creative, evidence-based, and functional therapy approaches tailored to each client's needs and goals.
Role Description
We are seeking expressions of interest for a Speech Pathologist with a passion and skillset in neurological, diseases of aging and complex care rehabilitation to join our Newcastle-based team. This on-site role will involve the assessment, planning, and delivery of interventions for clients with a range of complex conditions, including progressive neurological diseases, stroke and traumatic brain injuries.
You will work closely within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based programs that optimise function and improve quality of life. This includes supporting clients through all phases of rehabilitation, delivering tailored programs targeting communication and swallowing impairments. You will also contribute to client goal-setting, outcome tracking, and communication with care teams, referrers, and support coordinators as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver specialised rehabilitation programs
* Provide tailored therapy for clients with complex presentations, including those with progressive neurological diseases and acquired brain injury
* Conduct detailed assessments
* Prescribe and monitor individualised intervention programs with a focus on function, and long-term health outcomes
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic care
* Maintain clinical documentation, track outcomes, and communicate effectively with clients, families, and support networks
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree in Speech Pathology (CPSP, MSA)
* Clinical experience in communication and swallowing rehabilitation
* Experience working with complex clients
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to adapt and innovate within a client-centred care model
* Experience with NDIS and Aged Care (desirable)
