- $105,820 - $127,577 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) is Australia's national criminal intelligence agency. We advise senior decision makers on serious and organised crime impacting Australia. We are a full member of the National Intelligence Community, an Attorney General's Portfolio agency, and a member of the Five Eyes Law Enforcement Group.

**About the branch**
The Finance Property and Procurement Branch provide critical services for the agency and the AIC. The Branch requires a wide variety of skills and experience in order to provide the following functions
- Budget management and reporting e.g. input to portfolio budget statements, management reporting
- Financial reporting e.g. monthly and annual financial statements
- Financial operations e.g. accounts payable and receivable, cash management
- Taxation, travel and credit card services
- Business support e.g. fleet, mail, stationery, office services
- National property projects e.g. fitouts, relocations
- Procurement services
- Language services (linguists)

**About the role**
The Assistant Director Procurement manages a small team to deliver sound, high quality, procurement advice of procurement activities to the ACIC. The ACIC procures a diverse range of goods and services, ICT and non-ICT. It also performs a reporting function (Indigenous Procurement Policy, 42-day reporting, Senate Order, AusTender Gazettal etc).

The Assistant Director Procurement will provide advice to ACIC staff on 'best fit' procurement approaches and assistance to develop procurement plans. This includes tender evaluation, contract negotiation and the management for ACIC procurements for handover to project managers or contract managers.

The Assistant Director Procurement will be responsible for managing:

- Purchase order creation,
- AusTender reporting,
- Various procurement related reporting requirements (internal and external to the Agency),
- Managing procurements in compliance with the CPRs and ACIC policy,
- Managing procurements to meet the needs of the relevant projects particularly the value for money of goods and services.
- Has experience in the procurement of goods and services (ICT and other) and the development of associated documentation.
- Can work with a level of independence, under broad direction, with a concurrent need to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes.
- Displays strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, senior managers and external stakeholders to deliver organisational objectives.
- Possesses strong management and leadership skills including a demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate a multi-disciplined team to achieve results.

Having a Cert IV Government Procurement as a minimum would be highly desirable.

**Eligibility**
- Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS, unless the agency head has agreed otherwise, in writing. For further information, contact the Recruitment Team.

Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain, or continue to hold, the required security clearance for this role. All ACIC employees are required to hold a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance, unless otherwise specified.
- To be eligible to work at the ACIC, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Being fully vaccinated ensures the health and safety of all employees, and the Australian community. Satisfactory proof of vaccination status will be required before you are able to commence employment with the ACIC.
