The Role Day-to-Day
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking the functional lead for quality in the buisness, and ownership and management of the QMS, including maintaining certification to ISO9001, and for continuous improvement of business systems and processes, supported by management.
The Quality Manager will work stakeholders both internally and externally, to maintain, improve, monitor and report on all aspects of quality and related standards. General responsibilities will include:
* Ownership of the quality function, and leadership for implementation, development and changes to the Quality Management System (QMS) and more broadly the business systems that it supports
* Manage the project quality issues, conducting investigation, actioning corrective requests, implementing improvements, and championing a high-quality culture throughout the business
* Communicating quality processes, policies, templates, and conducting training for staff
* Liaising with external certification providers, conducting quality audits, and maintaining our ISO9001 certification
* Working with all areas of the business to identify improvements and helping to implement them
* Building new systems, processes, work flows, and getting 'hands-on' in the delivery of quality as an integral part of how we work

What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, or the equivalent experience in a related quality management position
* At least 5 years of experience in quality management, leading a quality function or department
* Some understanding of engineering, including design and development, as well as manufacturing and inventory / production
* Understanding of ISO9001 and quality systems
* Quality auditing experience (certification would be a bonus)
* Experience with MS 365 office suite of software
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A current or previously held Australian security clearance (Baseline or above) would be advantageous, however you must at least be prepared to get one
* Ability to work with ITAR and export controlled technologies
