At Ernest Henry
Our Ernest Henry Operation is a copper and gold mining and processing operation located 38 kilometres northeast of Cloncurry in Northwest Queensland. With a long mine life and an established underground mine, EHO offers stability, strong team culture, and opportunities for growth and development.

This position is offered on an 8/6 roster, with flexibility to be based in, Townsville or Cairns or DIDO for local employees.

Our Program
Our four-year Apprenticeship Program gives you the hands-on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. As part of our program, you'll receive necessary tools, accommodation and additional support if required.
About the role
As part of the Mine Asset Management team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Electrical Team Leader by undertaking everyday duties, utilising skills learnt through studies and role-based training.
Key responsibilities:
* Carrying out tasks as directed by the Supervisor, Leading Hand, and Tradespersons.
* Attending and completing all training and competency requirements as required (Including TAFE).
* Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
* Working within and complying with the Evolution Mining and Ernest Henry, site-specific safety and health management systems.
* Demonstrating behaviours align with the Evolution Mining values
About you
To be considered for an Electrical Apprenticeship, candidates must have the legal right to work in Australia prior to commencing employment and hold a current driver's license. Completion of Year 12 is highly regarded, as is a genuine interest in the electrical trade, demonstrated through previous work experience, personal projects, or related hobbies.
