The role of Clinical Nurse Specialist Community Mental Health is a key position within the mental health sector, focusing on delivering advanced community-based services to individuals affected by mental health conditions.
Responsibilities
* Conducting mental health and/or drug and alcohol (AOD) triage, acute initial assessments, risk assessments, crisis intervention, care management planning, and implementation of care plans and referral services to clients and their carers.
* Providing support and guidance to clients and their families to promote recovery and well-being.
Requirements
* Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated ability to apply recovery approaches when working with individuals, families, and communities affected by mental health conditions.
* Substantial experience in community-based mental health nursing practice.
