We are seeking a Stonemason to join our rapid-growing company. As a Stonemason you will be responsible for Stone installation as well as stone maintenance and restoration.
You will be undertaking the following duties:
Reshaping, separating, polishing, and reassembling stones using the appropriate tools.
Operate and maintain all equipment for cutting, shaping and polishing stones in a safe and efficient manner.
Reviewing construction drawings to identify the necessary components for stone installations
Precisely aligning stones to create the desired patterns and formations
Removing excess mortar from stones while ensuring accurate alignment
Conducting ongoing maintenance to preserve the integrity of stone structures
Cutting stones into distinct parts and rearranging them to achieve specific shapes
Constructing stone walls and utilizing stone components for various structures.
Patching synthetic stone and Heritage sandstone items (if you have worked on Remmers product that's an advantage)
Repearing Chips and cracks repairs with matching colour epoxy/resin (on site colour matching skills and texture is a must).
The position will report to the Director.
Successful applicants must have:
at the minimum 3 years relevant experience as a Stonemason, Solid Surface Fabrication, or Cabinetry
Certificate III in Stonemasonry (or similar)
strong communication and interpersonal skills
strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to allocate resources efficiently and manage time so as to achieve objectives.
A good understanding of machinery operation, assembly line, production, setting up, fault finding and housekeeping

Pay: $74,000.00 per year
