About The Role
This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of emergency management functions including planning, response, relief and recovery. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure Manningham is prepared for and able to respond to emergencies effectively.

Key Responsibilities Include
* Create and maintain Emergency Management Plans, Standard Operating Procedures and other emergency management associated documentation.
* Coordinate the Vulnerable Persons Register in line with Dept. for Families Fairness and Housing (DFFH) policy.
* Lead the recruitment, coordination and training for the Manningham Council Emergency Support Team.
* Administer Manningham's Crisisworks system and support training initiatives.
* Support emergency activations, relief centres, and recovery operations.
* Liaise with emergency services, government departments, and community groups as needed.
* Grow organisational maturity with the processes and systems as part of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement, enabling effective cost recovery from emergencies and disasters.
* Maintain systems, practises and doctrine to support the MAV Inter-council Emergency Management Resource Sharing Protocol, in response to large scale emergencies.
Skills And Experience
* Experience in emergency management or a strong motivation to learn.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage time-sensitive tasks.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
* Demonstrated strength in fostering open communication and teamwork to drive coordinated, high‐quality results.
* Ability to engage, build relationships and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in supporting training, exercises, and documentation processes.
* A current Victorian driver's licence.
