The EH&S Senior Manager is responsible for leading and managing the environmental, health and safety programs across the company.
The EH&S Senior Manager is also responsible for leading the health and safety culture and acts as the Occupational Health Manager as well as providing guidance and direction to a team of managers who are dispersed across the country.
The Senior Manager is responsible for driving & achieving EH&S compliance to applicable regulatory, customer, and corporate environmental, health, and safety requirements, tracking progress to Raytheon Technologies, Raytheon, and Raytheon-Australia organizational goals, assembling performance indicators, and reporting required metrics.
The Senior manager will also ensure that the EH&S organization supports risk identification and control, injury free performance, and environmental stewardship for the company.
In addition, the EH&S Senior Manager will be the responsible leader for ensuring Raytheon Australia EH&S performance to Raytheon EH&S leaders through effective communication & collaboration to execution of Raytheon Technologies EH&S initiatives and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure that the EH&S Management System is compliant with relevant statutes, as well as the requirements of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
* Ensure that the EH&S Management System is aligned to Raytheon Technologies Functional Corporate Policies (FCPs) and Functional Standard Work (FSW).
* Develop and execute strategies to Australian regulatory and Raytheon Technologies requirements.
* Establish goals and objectives and performance indicators that are aligned with the company's strategic goals, Raytheon Australia statutory obligations, corporate requirements, and the requirements of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
* Ensure environment, health and safety metrics are tracked, analysed and reported as required.
* Provide updates to Raytheon Australia leadership on how Raytheon Australia is achieving and meeting EH&S requirements and goals as well as its alignment to applicable legislation and regulations.
* Provide expert advice and input to tenders and bids, as required.
* Act as the Secretary of the EH&S Council and manage the activities of the EH&S Council.
* Perform internal self-inspections & periodic reviews that ensures compliance to EH&S program requirements, make improvements as necessary, and implement processes that ensures all compliance objectives are met.
* Build and develop functional relationships that promotes accountability and support the goals and objectives of the EH&S program.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Requires a University Degree in Occupational or Work Health and Safety, or Industrial Hygiene.
* Lead Audit qualifications in ISO 45001 or ISO 14001.
* Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment & Training.
* Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience (when a University Degree is held).
* Demonstrated experience in:Budgeting and costing.Report writing.Conducting incident investigationsIdentifying WHS and environmental risks and perform risk management.
* Demonstrated ability in engaging senior stakeholders within the business, particularly at the executive level.
* Demonstrated ability in leading diverse and distributed workforces in multiple locations.
* Demonstrated ability in team building and program execution to established goals.
* Demonstrated ability to succeed within a matrix environment and provide excellence to internal, external, and cross-domain customers.
