This newly created, hybrid role combines technical agronomic expertise with regional supply coordination, playing a pivotal role in improving the production of Raspberries, Blackberries, Strawberries, and Blueberries in the QLD region.This role is the ideal steppingstone for a technical professional wanting to gain more exposure into the operational side of agribusiness.Your daily responsibilities will include:Field Agronomy and Production Guidance: Provide on-site, hands-on agronomic support to regional growers, ensuring best practices in plant and fruit production by conducting regular on-site field visual and plant health checks.Quality & Compliance: Conduct and record field quality checks on growers and the distribution centres.Supply Coordination: Assist with the annual and long-term plant requirements plan and fruit supply forecast.Data Collection & Forecasting: Conduct weekly flower and berry counts, growing degree hours, and report to the Operations Manager to support short- and long-range forecasts.Collaboration with Operational Teams: Work closely with the QLD Operations Manager and Driscoll's operational teams to deliver business-critical support.If you are passionate about agriculture, thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from youSKILLS & EXPERIENCETo be considered for this role, applicants will need to demonstrate capabilities in the following:Tertiary qualifications in Agronomy, Food or Plant Science are essentialPrevious experience/understanding in Horticulture is preferredProficiency in the use of ExcelStrong verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work under limited supervisionAbility to identify issues and develop effective countermeasuresAbility to travel across regions within QLDUnrestricted drivers' licence and unrestricted Australian working rightsABOUT USDriscoll's Australia is an exciting joint venture company owned by Costa Group - Australia's leading integrated growing and marketer of premium quality fresh produce and Driscoll's (USA) - the world's market leader in berries.
