About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to join Barwon Health's newly established Youth Prevention and Recovery Care (YPARC) service. This innovative 10-bed residential program provides recovery‐oriented, trauma‐informed mental health support for young people aged 16–25 years as an alternative to hospital admission or as a supported transition from inpatient care back into the community.
Working within a 24/7 therapeutic environment, the Occupational Therapist will form part of a multidisciplinary team delivering individual, family and group‐based interventions that support functional recovery, independence and meaningful community participation. The role provides occupational therapy assessment and intervention, contributing to comprehensive assessment, treatment planning and recovery‐focused care that helps young people build confidence, strengthen daily living skills and achieve their personal recovery goals.
