Reporting to the Director of the VSLConnect Delivery team, the Lead Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring an accurate understanding of the current state and desired future state for large Digital Projects. This includes writing functional requirements and acceptance criteria for features prioritised from product backlogs and ensuring consistency and quality of work for other Business Analysts. You will work closely with Product Owners, Business Users, Service Designers, Solution Architects, Scrum Masters, Developers and Testers, as well as communications and change management staff. You will utilise IT project management methodologies (Agile Methodology), and act as a professional representative for projects or programs in internal and external forums. You may oversee or undertake reporting, research and analysis activities. Using your well-developed relationship management skills, you will contribute across your networks to seek solutions to complex problems. You will operate in a changing environment and responsively under pressure. The key duties of the position include Responsibilities of the EL1 may include: Work under limited supervision across delivery teams. Participate in agile ceremonies. Participate in design, planning, and estimation sessions. Work closely with system users to map business processes for the purpose of understanding business domain problems. Analyse and communicate solution options. Write functional requirements along with acceptance criteria. Work with pre-delivery teams to identify viable solutions. Provide sufficient business details to delivery teams to deliver viable solutions. Work closely with the product and technical teams to ensure clarity of communication and understanding. Use industry and departmental standards to develop artefacts for decision making, requirements, business rules, data requirements, system functional and non-functional requirements. Lead the work of less experienced staff and provide coaching and mentoring as needed. Set standards and ensure the quality of work produced by Business Analysts. Provide advice on matters relating to Business Analysis. Participate in administrative processes as needed, including recruitment activities.
