POSITION SUMMARY Sells merchandise in the major appliance, jewellery, and electronics section of the warehouse. Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers. Answers questions, demonstrates the merchandise, and explains the features. Sets up, cleans, and maintains displays. Stocks and maintains condition of department merchandise. Follows proper safety procedures and standards. Job Duties/Essential Functions Provide and ensure prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers Answer member questions, demonstrates merchandise and explain features Assist members in loading merchandise to cart Maintain current knowledge of technology and trends of sales area merchandise Communicate with Majors Supervisor regarding quantity, status, price, delivery, and promotion of merchandise Follow merchandising standards and practices Set up, clean and maintain merchandise displays Align and faces merchandise to front, collect and returns stray items, and stock to maintain high merchandise levels Review lists of items for Forklift Drivers to place in the aisles for stocking Participate in merchandise moves Check and approve merchandise for member returns Make and check accuracy of merchandise signs and marking Clear debris from the sales floor and performs security lock-up Follow proper Merchandising and general safety procedures and standards Spot for Forklift Drivers to keep people out of fall-danger zone Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary Assist members in loading merch to cart and their vehicles. Stock opened cases onto shelves and move and position pallets of merchandise Stacks merchandise from partial pallets onto full pallets Wrap/tie and tag pallets to be returned to steel Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery Computer, printer, sticker marking gun, pallet jack, step stool, diamond tester, case alarms, electronic merchandise, cameras, RF gun. Non-Essential Functions Assists with front end duties and in other departments of the warehouse, as necessary. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery Cash register, table top/hand-held scanners, carts, flatbeds. Manual pallet jack, step stool, wheeled bin, trash compactor, cardboard baler, sticker marking gun, shrink wrap machine, wrench, screwdriver, pliers, cutter, RF gun. Qualifications (Costco-specific or industry specific skills that candidates should possess): Education/Training: High School Certificate or higher. Licenses/Certifications: None Experience/Skills: Sales, Costco or comparable experience, customer service, knowledge of electronics, jewellery and appliances, AS400, basic computer, and basic maths skills.
