Occupational Therapist
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Victoria, Australia. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing therapy services to assess function and capacity and provide therapy programs to both children and adults with development challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide therapeutic services to designated NDIS participants using a strength-based service model.
* Coordinate the delivery of therapy services to assess function and capacity and provide therapy programs to both children and adults with development challenges.
* Conduct assessments and work with practitioners and participants to contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of the therapeutic plan.
* Conduct home visits and community visits as required.
* Refer to and liaise with other medical and allied health professionals as needed.
* Coach, advise, and provide on-the-job support to team members and carers to improve their skills and knowledge in developmental milestone development and evidence-based interventions and practice.
* Plan, develop, and facilitate or co-facilitate therapeutic therapy programs for participants and stakeholders.
* Attend review meetings, case conferences, and other meetings and ensure all documentation and notes are saved.
* Work with allied health professionals to build capability across the team.
* Provide excellent customer service and effective complaint management.
* Document and create reports on participant services using technology and paper-based systems.
