Oceanic Marine Risks are currently seeking a motivated Broker Assistant or Account Broker to join our growing team on a full-time basis working from our South Brisbane, Sunshine Coast or Cannonvale Office.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their insurance career who is eager to develop technical expertise, build client relationships, and have an opportunity to manage their own portfolio of marine pleasure craft.
In this role, you will work closely with a friendly, collaborative and professional team who are motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about what we do.
About the Role
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Servicing client enquiries
* Processing and managing new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations
* Placing risks with insurers
* Managing your own portfolio
* General administrative duties and assistance with the team
Within this role, you will receive ongoing support and guidance from Senior Brokers.
To succeed in this role, you will be highly organised, detail-oriented, client-focused, and a strong team player.

About You
* Tier 2 in Insurance Broking, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Driven to grow a portfolio with the support of your Head of Portfolio and Account Managers
* Ability to build strong relationships with clients and underwriters
* Strong communication, computer, and documentation skills
* Experience using broking systems (Insight highly regarded) and the Microsoft Office Suite is highly valued
* Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
* Career-focused, responsible, self-motivated, and enthusiastic to learn and grow
