**About your role**
**We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Carer Support Practitioner to join our team!** In this role you will implement strategies and engage local community to attract and recruit new foster carers. You will also be engaged in the assessment, review and ongoing support of foster and kinship carers to ensure they are able to provide therapeutic parenting to children and young people; this will include the delivery of psychoeducation and specialised carer training and mentoring.
You will also work closely with the case management team to ensure an integrated service delivery model, which incorporates the Sanctuary Model framework and will implement culturally informed trauma practices for use when working with Aboriginal children and families.
**What will you need?**
- Diploma or bachelor degree in community services, human services, social work or welfare or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in working with and supporting vulnerable children, young people and their families or carers, including those from an Aboriginal or culturally and Linguistically Diverse background
- Demonstrated skills or experience in community engagement and building community partnerships
