Administration Officer - Community and Engagement
Waratah-Wynyard Council welcomes applications for an Administration Officer to support our vibrant and growing municipality. You will deliver high‑quality administrative and business support to the Community and Engagement Directorate.
Overview
This role goes well beyond traditional administration. You will play an integral role in supporting the Directorate's operations and activities, contributing to a wide range of community‑focused programs and services. From coordinating meetings and managing calendars to enhancing systems and processes, your work will keep operations running smoothly and support positive outcomes for our community.
The successful applicant will also provide occasional backfill for the Executive Officer during leave, particularly supporting Council meeting processes.
Responsibilities
• Provide complex and fast‑paced administrative support to the Community and Engagement Directorate.
• Coordinate meetings, manage calendars and enhance systems and processes.
• Backfill for the Executive Officer during leave, supporting Council meeting processes.
• Deliver high‑quality administrative and business support to the Directorate.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in providing administrative support in a complex and fast‑paced environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* High level of computer literacy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently.
