We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our research team in geomicrobiology. As an Associate Professor, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality research, publishing journal articles and contributing to teaching.
 * Develop and deliver practicals, conduct field trips, and mark/assessments for graduate and undergraduate students.
 * Collaborate on internal and external projects with industry, academia, and government organisations.
 * Contribute to leadership roles within the School of EPS and the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
Selection Criteria
 * A doctoral qualification in microbiology/geobiology and sedimentary inorganic geochemistry is essential.
 * You will have an established record of PhD and undergraduate scholar supervision.
 * Your research outputs should be published in international peer-reviewed journals.
 * You should have a track record of grant success relative to opportunity.
 * Industry engagement and ability to attract funding are highly desirable.
 * You will need high-level communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in geomicrobiology and sedimentary inorganic geochemistry. You should have excellent research and teaching skills and be able to contribute to leadership roles within the faculty.
