About the Role
Support the implementation and delivery of Child and Youth Mental Health services within a recovery framework. The role uses lived experience to collaborate with staff, advocate for young people, families and carers, focusing on carer support.
Key Responsibilities
Support staff to increase capacity for carer inclusive practice.
Assist the mental health service to align itself to the needs of carers.
Enhance organisational capacity to work with carers, including service provision, co-production, consultation and role of Carer Advisors.
Ensure the carer voice is clearly articulated and heard at all levels of the health service.
About You
Have personal experience caring for someone with mental distress and demonstrated use of recovery principles.
Understand and commit to recovery-oriented services and peer involvement in service design, implementation, and evaluation.
Can work effectively across community and inpatient settings.
