Margaret River Golf Club is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Course Superintendent to lead the management and maintenance of our championship 18-hole golf course. Located in one of Australia's premier wine and tourism regions, the Club has a proud history and a growing membership base, offering an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and develop the course maintenance team.
* Plan, schedule and oversee all turf management, irrigation, and maintenance programs.
* Deliver consistent, high-quality playing surfaces to meet member and guest expectations.
* Manage budgets, purchasing, and reporting for course maintenance operations.
* Ensure compliance with all workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Provide agronomic advice and input into course improvement projects and long-term planning.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
* A recognised qualification in turf management (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a leadership role within golf course management.
* Strong agronomic knowledge and practical experience in managing cool season and warm season turfgrasses.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
* Sound knowledge of irrigation systems and course machinery maintenance.
* A current ChemCert accreditation and driver's licence.
