About the Role
Big W is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Book Associate to join our team in a high-volume store that consistently ranks among the top in sales. This fast-paced environment requires strong organisation, teamwork, and the ability to keep the department running efficiently during busy trading periods.
As a Book Associate, you will play an important role in ensuring customers have access to a wide range of books while maintaining an attractive and well-stocked department. A key challenge in this role is efficiently managing and getting stock out to the floor quickly, ensuring shelves remain full despite high sales and constant product movement.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers in finding books and related products
* Maintain the presentation and organisation of the book department
* Replenish shelves quickly and efficiently to keep up with high sales volume
* Manage incoming stock and ensure timely stocking of new titles and bestsellers
* Assist with merchandising displays and promotional setups
* Support inventory checks and stock management processes
* Work collaboratively with team members to maintain store standards in a busy environment
