Role Details
We are currently seeking a Surface Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team and support the safe and reliable operation of our surface infrastructure. This position is based in Broken Hill (residential only).
This role is responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, and installations on a range of surface fixed plant and infrastructure across the site.
What You'll Be Doing
* Perform routine maintenance, fault finding and repairs on surface fixed plant and equipment.
* Assist with shutdown maintenance, rebuilds, and project work as required.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and a strong safety culture within the team.
What You Will Bring
We are ideally seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter, however Boilermaker tradespeople with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
To be successful, you will have:
* Relevant Australian trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker).
* Experience in mining, heavy industrial, or processing environments.
* Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
* Ability to work autonomously and within a multi-skilled team.
* Current driver's licence.
