The primary accountabilities of the Community Services Field Supervisor include:
* Plan, organise and allocate work tasks to community service workers on-site to progress and/or meet community service project/brief
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with community service workers on-site and with community groups who manage community service projects and sites
* Confirm equipment and clothing designated for community service project is adequate and in safe working order
* and community service workers are fit to undertake work including being appropriately attired and in possession of a signature card
* Issue appropriate tools, personal protective equipment and clothing including sun protection cream and hat, to community service workers in accordance with WH&S
* Provide instructions and/or training in safe work practices, and monitor proper use and handling, of tools and equipment to comply with WH&S
* Supervise the progress and compliance of community service workers on-site and record timely observations to ensure current and accurate mandatory reporting
* Assess and monitor on-site conditions of community service project/s and cease work, when necessary, to ensure sites comply with QCS workplace health and safety guidelines
* Complete paperwork associated with supervision of community service workers, including incident reporting, and when necessary, notify Parole and Probation Office,
* Maintain up-to-date electronic records about community service activities using appropriate QCS applications and systems
* Comply with file management procedures, confidentiality, standards and guidelines.
The role description provides the minimum requirements for the role. The incumbent may be required to undertake other duties as required outside of these primary accountabilities.
The incumbent will be required to undertake professional development and training relevant to the role as required and as deemed appropriate for the location of the advertised vacancy. The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class licence is required and will be mandatory in specific locations where it is identified as essential by the hiring panel.
