Job Title: Support Associate
We are seeking a qualified Support Associate to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with additional needs.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them to develop confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging. You will work closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to deliver individualised support that fosters academic, emotional, and social growth.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs.
* Adapt teaching strategies, communication methods, and learning materials to support individual students' engagement and progress.
* Implement Individual Plans in partnership with the teaching team.
* Monitor and track student behaviour using consistent strategies and data tools, contributing to the development of effective support plans.
* Promote a positive, inclusive classroom climate that values and celebrates diversity.
* Foster student confidence, self-regulation, and independence in both learning and social settings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with students with special needs, parents, and teaching professionals on the provision of educational programs.
* Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team in the evaluation of educational programs.
* Demonstrated good organisational skills that will assist in the delivery and development of effective education programs to students and subsequent feedback to teaching professionals or psychologists.
* Demonstrated ability to assist teachers or therapists in implementing educational programs.
* Demonstrated knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
* Demonstrated ability to assist with general health and well-being of students.
